Wiggo & Rapha

It's great to see that Sir Bradley Wiggins has joined forces with Rapha to design and
launch his new team WIGGINS. As a keen cyclist myself I will be keeping an eye on
how this develops...

Eat, Drink & be Merry

With the entertaining season almost upon us, it will shortly be time for the team at Ideas Factory to re-direct our creative passions away from the studio and towards home - especially the kitchen!

Sharing time and cooking with friends and family is one of the most enjoyable aspects of a happy Christmas. With that in mind we've chosen a few of our personal and favourite festive recipes and presented them as a series of cards for christmas, beautifully illustrated by our former intern Lizzy Tweedale.

100% Design

Never ones to work in a bubble, the IF studio ventured out and spent an afternoon last week soaking up the new and emerging design on offer at 100% Design.

The trade show is officially the biggest and longest running contemporary design event in the UK and was being held in the mammoth Earls Court Exhibition Centre. Split into six sections; International Pavilions, Emerging Brands, Interiors, Office, Kitchen & Bathrooms and Eco Design & Build, we were impressed at the vast scale of the space as well as the array of exhibitors on offer. Packed with exciting inventions, engaging products, contemporary materials and new technology we came away with contacts and inspiration
in bags.

We'll be sure to be there again next year.

Spoke

As a keen cyclist and with the Tour de France starting in Yorkshire this week I went along to Spoke - a design and illustration fair celebrating all things cycling. Held in the CLF Art Cafe in Peckham it was a real visual delight with some beautiful prints, jewellery and clothing from local designers and emerging artists.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next one! Vive le tour!

First Eleven

As the 2014 World Cup officially kicked off last night, KK Outlet marked the occasion with the launch of a new exhibition titled 'First Eleven.' I headed over to their gallery in Hoxton Square for the opening party.

'First Eleven' is a celebration of the humble football shirt. A symbol of patriotism and pride to players and fans alike. The guys at KK Outlet have gathered a dream-team of eleven contributors from a diverse range of creative folk to contribute a football shirt design to be exhibited throughout the 2014 World Cup.

Designs come from the highly acclaimed Anna Lomax, Becky & Joe, Craig & Karl, Helmut Smits, HORT, INT Works, KesselsKramer, Lakwena Maciver, Ning Wang, Put Put
and VLF.

This is one wardrobe you want to check out if your caught up in the carnival atmosphere.

Exhibition Runs: 13 – 30 June.
