Not a big fan of the cold weather and snow, I decided to go on an Easter-ish holiday to the wonderful city of Oslo. And I know what you're thinking - freezing! But actually it was a glorious four days, blue skies and bright sun, with lots of beautiful, Scandinavian design and flair on show.
Located in the Oslofjord, Oslo is a charming city with lots to offer. Grünerløkka is the 'Shoreditch' of Oslo, offering well dressed youngsters sipping coffee in the sun, or enjoying a beer or two in a similar sunny patch. Other delights include; the Opera house, designed to look like a glacier, that you can walk to the top of from the outside, the Munch museum, celebrating all things scream-inducing, Viking ships and the Fram which famously sailed to the South Pole to name but a few. And very expensive beer. And very stylish clothes.
See below for the Rådhus (my favourite building), the view from the Opera house, and the Parliament building, proudly sporting a Norwegian flag.
