Recognising that a super yacht tender has to do more than just transport guests to and from the shore; Stirling Reed set out to produce designs that were both practical and good looking. Packed with innovative detailing and features, Stirling Reed's flagship V1 is said to be “at home on the steps of the world’s smartest yacht clubs”.
The Challenge
When Stirling Reed approached Ideas Factory to create their corporate identity, launch material and on-going marketing campaign, the company was already contractually committed to launching V1 at The Monaco Yacht Show in less than 6 weeks. As a startup within a highly competitive, niche market, Stirling Reed needed to have a real and immediate presence. The new identity needed to instantly convey the clean, striking industrial design ethos of the brand.
The Solution
Taking a cue from the sweeping lines of the V1's industrial design combined with a contemporary visual language, the new identity perfectly aligns with the product. Pushing the identity further through to brochures, advertising, exhibition stands and an online presence, we created a cohesive brand that has a refreshingly clean, understated feel. Following completion of the prototype, we were given a four-hour window to obtain photography of the V1, in use and at sea.
The Result
Delivered on time and with strict budget constraints, Stirling Reed launched V1 to huge acclaim at The Monaco Yacht Show. Orders taken at the show enabled the company to obtain the necessary funding to expand production and thereby reduce lead times. Following the successful launch Ideas Factory were asked to develop marketing material for new products within the company's expanding portfolio.
